Tennis Australia skills development camp

PacificAus Sports through its Pacific Women’s Sport Administration Program (PWSAP) supported Tennis Australia to run a skills development camp and coach mentoring program ahead of the Australian Junior Team Championships on the Gold Coast in June 2023.

Focusing on women and girls from the Pacific, the program enabled talented emerging athletes from the region to come together to train and learn from each another. They also played alongside some of Australia's best young players, further increasing their confidence on the court.

Coaches were supported and mentored by Australian coaches and had the opportunity to put new insights into practice with their athletes during the program.

The participants developed close friendships and are excited to continue applying their training back home.
